Determining Ford F-150 features and specs

The brand new Ford 2021 F-150 has been updated to be the most powerful and capable Ford F-150. This pickup truck is one of the toughest, most trusted versions providing strength and torque of high performance, excellent gross towing, and a class-exclusive engine. The Ford F-150 2021 is one of the trucks with the best confidence, power, and endurance. The car has superior horsepower, torque, and maximum outstanding towing capacity and is renovated with more intent and drive.

The 2021 Ford F-150 is available in six trim editions - XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. It suggests three cab styles - regular, SuperCab (extended), and SuperCrew (crew cab). Depending on the cab style, it has three lengths of bed. For this model, Ford offers six available powertrains matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission with rear- or four-wheel drive.

The 2021 Ford F-150 offers a great choice of six engines:

  •  3.3-liter V6 (290 horsepower, 265 lb-ft of torque)
  •  turbocharged 2.7-liter V6 (325 hp, 400 lb-ft)
  •  5.0-liter V8 (400 hp, 410 lb-ft)
  •  turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V6 (250 hp, 440 lb-ft)
  •  turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 (400 hp, 500 lb-ft)
  •  a hybrid powertrain (Ford's PowerBoost) that combines the turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with an electric motor and a battery pack (430 hp, 570 lb-ft)

The base XL trim edition is fitted with such regular features as trailer sway control and pre-wired trailer connections, manual mirrors and windows, air conditioning with one zone, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The trim's safety features include a warning of lane departure (warns if the car is driving out of its lane) and forward collision mitigation (warns of coming accident and applies the brakes in some instances).

The XLT trim is built on the XL and comes with foglights, cruise control, power door locks and power windows, a power locking tailgate, and front-seat lumbar adjustments. As for the safety features, it contains a monitor of the blind spot (warns if the car is in the next lave over and in your blind spot), rear automatic braking (implies brakes if Parktronic recognizes an imminent collision with the object that is behind the car), lane-keeping assist (if the car starts to drift over lane marker, it steers the car back into its lane).

For more premium elements, you should opt for the Lariat trim edition. It comes with the class IV trailer hitch, LED bed lighting, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, 12-inch center touchscreen, and automatic climate control with two zones, power-adjustable pedals, remote start, and remote tailgate release.

The King Ranch version adds more luxury to the 2021 Ford F-150 by adding LED headlights and taillights, a built-in controller of trailer brake, steering wheel, and rear seats with heating, power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, B&O stereo system with eight speakers, smartphone charging without a wire. This trim edition is equipped with such safety features as adaptive cruise control (keep a distance between the F-150 and the car in front) and evasive steering assist (improves the forward collision mitigation system with collision avoidance based on the steering wheel).

The Platinum model is fitted the same way as the King Ranch trim but has some exclusive cosmetic changes and interior trim.

The Limited version, the top of the F-150 line, provide exclusive features such as Trailer Tow package with Ford's Pro Trailer Backup Assist system, power running boards, moonroof with two panels, power up-and-down rear tailgate with Ford's tailgate step and work surface, front seat with massage function, B&O stereo with eighteen speakers, Pro Power Onboard (the system that enables to charge and use devices from a system of plugs in household style in the bed of the truck, including power tools, tailgating accessories, and small appliances), and 360-degree camera system (gives a top-down view of the F-150 and its nearby areas for tight parking situations).
